Authors Information

MSC 2014 Submission and Registration Policies

  • All conference submissions must be done through PaperPlaza and submitted by April, 17 (New deadline), 2014.

  • All papers submitted to the MSC 2014, whether for review or publication upon acceptance, must be written in English and formatted in the standard two-column format provided on PaperPlaza.
  • A contributed paper is intended to be a complete description of finished work. Accepted papers are limited to 6 pages in the conference proceedings at no extra charge; up to two extra pages are allowed for a charge of 120 Euros each. Note that there is no separate short paper format.
  • A maximum of 3 papers can be uploaded with a single registration. Additional uploads on the same registration will require a payment of 150 Euros per paper.
  • If a paper is accepted, at least one of the authors listed on the paper must attend the conference and present the paper according to the scheduling decided by the conference's Technical Program Committee.
  • In the event that the presenter is unable to attend the conference for any reason, it is his/her responsibility to ensure that the paper is presented by a qualified colleague.
  • At least one of the authors listed on the paper must register for the MSC 2014 to upload the final manuscript.

Invited Sessions

  • Invited sessions submission must be done through PaperPlaza and submitted by March 31 (New deadline), 2014.
  • Invited session proposals should present a unified theme from diverse viewpoints. Each proposal should consist of a summary statement and six regular papers (not abstracts).
  • The organizer notifies Contributing Authors (CAs) of their invited session code.
  • The corresponding author of each paper submits the paper online (pdf format) as an invited paper. Submission as an invited paper requires the invited session code.

Tutorial paper

  • Tutorial paper should introduce a topic of interest.
  • The format is structured as the regular paper (6 pages).
  • Papers concerning industry-academic collaboration are encouraged.The paper should be prepared according IEEE A4 template.

Tutorial Sessions

  • Tutorial sessions are organized to provide an introduction to a topic of interest.
  • The format is structured around a main tutorial paper (up to 18 pages) and talk (60 minutes) followed by three presentations (20 minutes, with or without papers of up to 6 pages each) intended to give a picture of the state of the art.
  • Sessions involving industry-academic collaboration are encouraged.
  • All papers should be prepared according to the IEEE A4 template.
